Grindstone Coworking, the Rio Grande Valley’s first coworking spot, celebrates its two-year anniversary today. Located in downtown Edinburg, Grindstone Coworking offers entrepreneurs, mobile workers and freelancers a sense of community as they work independently, positively impacting both creativity and productivity. The office marked the occasion with a Halloween barbecue for members.
“I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished during these two years at the Grindstone. Our members are thriving in their respective businesses. Some of them have expanded during their time here. I’m glad our office space is able to play even a small role in their success,” said Daniel Rivera, founder of Grindstone Coworking.
Located in downtown Edinburg, Grindstone Coworking has attracted several businesses to the Edinburg area. The coworking spot has come a long way since its opening on November 2, 2015. With features in The Monitor, the Rio Grande Guardian, and other local publications, Grindstone Coworking has welcomed a variety of workers through its doors, with some coming from as far as Monterrey, Mexico and San Antonio.
In addition to offering office space for local businesses, Grindstone Coworking also sponsors entrepreneurial classes and seminars on topics like financial readiness and social media marketing, with the help of a program established in conjunction with the Edinburg EDC. This has helped create a vibrant learning environment for established entrepreneurs and those just starting their businesses.
